A unique Postgraduate Diploma aimed at construction professionals seeking knowledge of sound contracts management practices in relation to international construction contracts in both civil law and common law environments.

The IC2 PgD is aimed at providing professionals working internationally with the required combination of legal, management and practical skills to ensure good and efficient contracts management. The course is based on an optimal blend of academic and practical knowledge, combining lectures, case studies and tutorials with group work.

Profil recommandé

Required level: 

  • Demonstrate significant experience at executive positions on construction projects or in dealing with international construction contracts, claims or disputes; AND
  • either hold an undergraduate degree in Law, OR have a minimum of 4 years of work experience and a previous undergraduate degree in any field

This course is open to experienced construction professionals and lawyers seeking to increase their knowledge and strengthen their skills in managing construction contracts in an international environment.

Candidates will be expected to:

  • Demonstrate significant experience at executive positions on construction projects or in dealing with international construction contracts, claims or disputes.
  • Submit a letter of motivation together with a CV, evidence of qualifications and references.

A limited number of places is available in order to maximise opportunities for group exchanges and discussion.

Organisation des études

The program takes place over one year in Paris.
158 hours of teaching.
The courses are organized in three-day sessions: Thursday, Friday and Saturday, held once a month.

The courses are taught in English. They combine an academic/theoretical component supported by concrete examples of international projects, and role-playing exercises.

  • On site training:  At the heart of Paris at the following address: 4 rue Blaise Desgoffe – 75006 Paris
  • Online Distance Learning: If students cannot attend our courses in Paris, our distance learning platform allows then to study online from any location and is designed to fit in around their work obligations.
  • Our online learning environment offers students flexibility in terms of time and place of study, and offers direct contact with tutors and other students. The online campus provides students with live lectures and other course material. Students also have access to videos of the lectures if they live in a time zone which prevent them from attending the live lectures. Students attending live lectures can easily interact with the teachers and other students.
  • Students who follow the course online can either sit the exams in Paris, or at French institutions in their home country (Consulate, French Council, etc. – subject to conditions – please contact us for further information)
